Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, We are told in the gospel that after the Annunciation, Mary set out to visit her cousin Elizabeth. Many times in the scriptures after a divine intervention the recipient is challenged to set out and share the good news. After the resurrection the disciples set out to return to Jerusalem to share the good news. We are being reminded that Good news is not something to be hoarded but some- thing to be shared . Our celebration of Liturgy is a community event and then we are challenged to go and put it into action in our daily living. Mary knew that. The presence of the Christ Child in her womb empowered her to reach out and proclaim the good news to her cousin and her unborn son. Our celebration of Mass empowers us to go out and proclaim the good news. As we approach the birth of the Savior let us reach out and invite others to join us on our journey of faith and then encourage them to go out and do likewise. We set out on the journey but we are never alone and like the disciple on the road to Emmaus we recognize that He is with us on our journey and we continue to invite others to join us. Let the journey continue Pray for me as I pray for you, Fr Karl
