Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, We have celebrated Christmas and New Year. We have made and probably broken our resolutions. We are back to ordinary time in the liturgical and in the everyday activities of our lives. It is in the ordinary that our lives are lived. In the challenges that going to school or work our Christianity is lived out. We work and live in a secular and at times politically correct society and it is there that our faith is challenged and put to the test. Jesus met that challenge face on, in his ministry. He constantly questioned the values and the rules of the time he lived in. It would lead to his death and resurrection. A good challenge for us as we move into this year might be to take and read one of the gospels and see and live what Jesus experienced and ask ourselves “What would I have done in these circumstances” and Whose side would I have been on”. Let our journey continue Fr Karl
