Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Today is the first Sunday of Lent. During Lent there will be two Masses on a Friday one at 9.15am and one at 6.30 pm with a reflection on some of the Stations of the Cross. During Lent we will be trying as a parish to read Bishop Robert Morneau’s The Gift of Spirituality. It’s a small little leaflet but well worth reading. Fur- ther reading that I would suggest is Matthew Kelly’s Rediscover Lent. Magnificat has also a small booklet called Lenten companion. We will include as an insert with today’s bulletin Pope Francis’s Lenten Letter. Please try and read it. As we journey through Lent I would invite you to try and give up some of the electronics or apps and as families read a little and pray and reflect on what you read as we try together to repent and believe the good news Let the journey continue, Fr Karl
