Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, My first week as Pastor here was dominated by Totus Tuus. I had no idea what was going on. I had never heard of the program. By the end of the week I was very happy with the mix of religious learning and fun that made up the program. The kids were learning about their faith in a fun way and enjoying it. This year we once again will offer the Totus Tuus program. Please consider signing up your kids for a great week of fun and laughter grounded in faith and religious practice. The diocese offers a number of great catholic summer camps, which are fun and yet very practical for a kid that is into sports. There is Mass and devotions every day but also lessons in hockey, baseball or soccer. The Spirit Hockey Camp takes place in Darien July 17-21 (Register at spirithockey.org} The Soccer Camp Immaculate Conception Elmhurst June 12-14 Catholic Baseball Camp Benet Academy Lisle July 24-26 All of these programs are recommended by the Diocese as having a very good Catholic Ethos. There is also the Youth Leadership conference that takes place every year at Lewis University. It is good to give our youth an opportunity to take part in an activity that is catholic in its ethos and combines good fun with a solid faith filled program. This summer when you choose a camp try to pick one that reflects your values. Let the journey continue, Fr Karl

Alleluia He is risen from the dead alleluia alleluia. And they recognized him in the breaking of bread. Do we recognize him in the breaking of Bread? Do we continue his work when we are told go the Mass is ended? For now we are the feet and hands of Jesus. He has no hands but our hands; He has no feet but our feet. Jesus is counting on us. Happy Easter and now we continue to jour- ney as we go out and proclaim to the whole world that the Lord is truly risen Fr Karl
